Oktoberfest – The Greatest Of All Beer Drinking Festivals

Oktoberfest offers another opportunity on the calendar for themed costume parties. Originally a Bavarian custom, Oktoberfest has spread to Europe and the rest of the world and is now celebrated worldwide.

Everyone in Munich was invited to celebrate their wedding in the surrounding fields. The celebration lasts for five days and ends with a horse race. You can also get information about Oktoberfest rogers women via the web.

With this growing popularity, the drinking culture also grew, with the original small beer vendors being replaced by larger beer tents around the turn of the century.

Today Oktoberfest is a German festival that celebrates the changing of the seasons, although agricultural shows persist every three years and have become an important holiday wherever there is a German community.

Oktoberfest is all about drinking beer, and huge beer tents have been set up in major cities to cope with the onslaught of parties – about 6 million in recent years.

This fuller, darker brew is traditionally associated with a time when the brewer – in most major cities one or more local brewers brewing their specialty brew – had a clean bath and a strong brew like that used in bottled dark beer.

The food at Oktoberfest is traditional bratwurst, served with ham or Kaiser rolls. Bratwurst is always served with German mustard and is often accompanied by sauerkraut and/or potato salad.
